This one's for the Ladies....

Wow, we've gotten such an incredible response about our new women's line that we have been releasing this week! Nothing makes us happier than knowing our fans are pleased with our work. For the last two years you've been buying our patterns, dressing up your little ladies, and making them beautiful.

Now, it's your turn to be the one to get all the compliments!

Of course, we know that many of you, like most moms, don't take the time to do anything for yourself.

Maybe you've never made anything at all just for you. 

Well, it's time to get out of your box!!!!

You Asked For It....

And we've been listening! We have a confession: we've been keeping a secret. It's been a hard secret to keep too because you ladies are persistent....and obviously persuasive. After much anticipation and hard work we are pleased to announce our new women's line! Just wait. It gets better because we aren't releasing just one pattern this week, nope! We are releasing six patterns! If you weren't excited before, hopefully you are excited now!

Not to brag, but we have some pretty amazing testers who have shown us how versatile some of these pieces really are as well. They have bared with us through the struggles of making patterns for people with real curves and shape to their body to help us create these new patterns that will look great on all shapes and sizes. Here is our size chart including sizes XS to XL so you can start measuring and getting ready for the pattern releases that will begin tomorrow morning!!!

So I'm sure you're wondering what patterns we're releasing? While I'd love to tell you, but I can't spill the beans. So I'm just going to let some of our testers' pictures do the talking and hopefully you can recognize them all.

Friday...Your Favorite Day of the Week!

Happy Friday CKC Fans!

We released 2 new patterns this week. I know, I know, after the whirlwind weeks we've been having, 2 almost seems like we're slacking, but that's only because we are working on some awesome things behind the scenes!

We released Amanda's Triple Ruffle Skirt, definitely a summer staple! Sizes 6mo- 8 girls.

Peony's Tween Maxi Dress was our second release. Isn't this just stunning???

I Need HOW MUCH Fabric???

We've gotten several emails recently about our fabric requirements that are posted in our patterns.
If you're new to CKC patterns, or new to sewing in general, you'll need a little more information than just the fabric chart before you go shopping.

Here are some things you need to consider:

1. How wide is the fabric you are purchasing from selvage to selvage? Wovens generally run anywhere from as small as 36" to as large as 46".  Knits generally run anywhere from 48" to 60" wide. The width of the fabric you are using can make a huge difference in the amount of fabric you will need for your project.

Do You Measure Up?

I think I've been asked at least a hundred times, "Do your patterns run true to size?"

And, I know I've heard other people say at least a thousand times, "There's no such thing as true to size."

While it's true that all commercial brands do have their own sizing methods, there is such a thing as as a standard. A standard is simply a set of rules, or in this case measurements, to use when producing a product. Many countries have their own set of standards since body size/shape does vary greatly by geographic region.  While not all clothing companies or pattern designers follow the US standard that is recognized in the industry, Create Kids Couture does follow it closely while drafting  to ensure proper fit of all our patterns.

Hi, Robin here from Create Kids Couture. We are so excited to be working with  Clothworks today. If you've never heard of Create Kids Couture, we publish PDF and paper boutique style sewing patterns. We've got over 120 patterns for girls, boys, dolls, and tweens.
